Koes Soeharsono (1931-1982), as the first generation, started the business by partnering with several farmers and selling the tobacco leaf in Temanggung traditional market in the early 1950’s. As the business grows, in 1979 Kuswanto Soeharsono (1959-2025), as the second generation and as the founder of Restu Sejati, started to join and transformed this family business that only specialized in a single area into a complex supply chain company capable of handling several tobacco production areas. Now, we are proudly present in all tobacco production areas in Indonesia. In 2007, the company took a significant step forward by establishing a legal entity, CV Restu Sejati, driven by a commitment to regulatory compliance and good corporate governance.

Restu continues to evolve into a robust multi-sector business that strategically supports our customers and partners in the tobacco industry, by expanding into the clove supply chain in 2009 as our first step, investing in international tobacco trading and flavor house company in 2013, establishing seed and agrochemical industry in 2017, starting cigarette distribution and marketing company that operates in several provinces in 2020, extending our service as Third party Operator to support our customer cigarette production in 2021. This decades-long journey reflects Restu’s ability to adapt industry dynamics and grow alongside our partners.
